Building the south coasts premiere marine-themed legacy event at Weymouth and Portland - home of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events
Water activities
- World-class dinghy racing and keelboat racing in the 2012 Olympic sailing waters uniting local sailing clubs
- Kite surfing and windsurfing demonstrations and competitions (Portland Harbour)
- Taster sessions for Yachting, Dingy sailing, gig rowing, kite surfing, wind surfing and dragon boating
- Schools and Young Peoples Sailing Regatta"
- Gig racing (Weymouth beach / Nothe)
- Olympic Triathlon for elite and amateur competitors,
- kids aquathon (swim/ run) - open to all
- Water transport between the different venues
- From August 2008 Sailing links with Qingdao, China (2008 Olympic sailing venue)
Shore activities
- Weymouth International Maritime Modelling festival (Weymouth)
- Marine trade and educational exhibition (WPNSA/ Weymouth harbour)
- Traditional yachts display (Weymouth and Portland harbours)
- Maritime art exhibition and Marine photographic competition (Weymouth & Portland)
- Seafood festival and farmers market (Weymouth harbour & Portland)
- Maritime Heritage activities eg Walks / tours / exhibitions of local artefacts (Weymouth & Portland)
- Sports/ beach activities with RNLI, Coastguard, local schools, Youth clubs, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Sea/Army/Air Cadets, Community Youth Groups etc. Sand castle competitions, beach games, tag rugby, beach volleyball (Weymouth beach)
- Cultural activities & Carnival procession/ street entertainers, theatre groups (Weymouth & Portland)
- Live music & performing arts - local/ College bands with key headline act/ tribute bands (Weymouth beach, the Nothe fort, Brewer's Quay, WPNSA, Portland's Cove House Inn, Southwell Business Park)
